Location

Winter or summer, Ascot-Zermatt is situated in one of the best locations in Zermatt.

For access to the extensive ski and hiking region, the close proximity of the ski-bus service could not be more convenient. The bus will take you comfortably to the Gornergrat train station, Matterhorn Glacier Paradise base station as well as the Sunnegga-Rothorn base station.

 
 
 
 

How to get there

By car

Zermatt is car free. Access by private transportation is only permitted as far as the village of Täsch. Here you can take the shuttle train to Zermatt or organise a taxi or limousine service, if preferred.

Täsch is located 5km from Zermatt. 2,100 covered parking spaces are provided at the Matterhorn Terminal Täsch. In addition, over 1,000 spaces are offered by private companies.

By train

Air travellers take the train directly from the airport. The trip from Geneva Cointrin takes 4 hours, from Zürich Kloten, 3.5 hours, and from Basel SBB, 3.25 hours. From Milano Malpensa, the trip takes 4 hours.

Alternatively

Taxis can be organised from all airports.
Zermatt has its own heliport, which is operated by Air Zermatt.

You can also travel to Zermatt with the Glacier Express – an experience in itself.

 
 

Arriving in Zermatt

Ascot-Zermatt is a short walk of around 7 minutes from the Zermatt train station.
